Basic 5 interview techniques

 An interview is the kind of conversation take place between an employer and the candidate. The employer place set of questions to the candidate who is answering instantly. This is a process to select the potential personnel and appoint them to the company or the organization. There are interview techniques for every company follows.


There are certain interview techniques to be followed while taking an interview –


Do ample amount of research about the company you are going for interview. If you have been asked question on company’s benefit, then think form the employee’s perspective how to bring benefit to the company. Answer the questions accordingly.

Maintain body language. Sit up straight, maintain an eye-to-eye contact, keep a normal expression, don’t need to look over confident. Just be yourself and true from inside.

You must be fluent enough. There is no harm if you don’t have sound knowledge in specific language but whichever language you are answering with, deliver that confidently.

Always end up the interview with a thank you note. Whether you liked the process or the interviewer or not, still never forget to leave a thank you note before ending the conversation. It creates positive impression.


Whether it’s employer or the candidate, both should have the quality of good listener. Listen carefully to the question of the employer, make an eye-to-eye contact so that there will be communication gap between two. Answer accordingly. Same applicable for the employer. Listen to the candidate carefully. This will help the company to filter the right candidate.

Every time reach to the interview venue on time, or a bit before time. Keep your resume, photos handier so that it will not take extra time to submit whenever asked for. Such qualities create good impression at the interview table.

Conclusion: The pattern of interview may vary depending on the job role or work profile. Although the basic technique of interview techniques remains same. As there is no thumb rule to follow for the interviewer. Just maintain such basic format and make a candidate feel ease. End up the interview with a thank you note from the both parties.
